Dammit! They stole my idea! Seriously, this has been my secret plan: when my stepdad retires and I have more than three hundred dollars in the bank, we would open up a Chicago-style hot dog restaurant. Because there are so many people who go between Ohio and Chicago, and I'm not sure why that it is, but I had a massive hunch that a Chicago-style hot dog joint would have made us tons of bucks and made a lot of Ohio-based Chicagoans super-happy. And now one has been opened! Well, I lay dibs on Cleveland-based hot dog joints. Dibs!
Wholly Joe's, the hot dog restaurant that I have been referring to this whole time, has opened up in Columbus. Now, when I say Columbus, what I mean is apparently Lewis Center which is very high up on the north side of Columbus. (I am not from Columbus, so what do I know.) The signature meal at Wholly Joe's: the traditional Chicago-style hot dog, complete with poppy seed bun, pepperoncini, mustard, relish, tomatoes, cucumber, and a delicious, delicious hot dog. They also serve meatball subs, Polish sausage, and a deep-dish pizza (another Chicago fave). And Wholly Joe's have been getting rave reviews all over Columbus, although they have the gall to not have a website in today's oversaturated Internet world! I am excited to haev Chicago-style hot dogs without the six hour drive, but they're killing me with the stealing of my idea.

1. The Wholly Joe's in Lewis Center has probably been there for at least 3 years now.
