Here's some holiday know how you may not have known. I didn't, but perhaps it's because the talk about the largest shopping day of the year being the day after Thanksgiving gets all the money-making glory talk. There's another group of people who will see dollar signs on Friday. Hum the jingle if you remember it: "Roto-Rooter, that's the name; and away go troubles down the drain."
Think peels, scraps, bones, and heaven knows what else in massive amounts-just stuffed and crammed in disposals. Plus there's that wayward piece of silverware. You get the picture. A real holiday cheer breaker. It turns out that the day after Thanksgiving is also the largest day of the year for Cincinnati based Roto-Rooter. So, while shoppers are out filling up shopping bags, those Roto-Rooter guys are emptying pipes to help keep the flow of the holiday spirit moving along. Considering Roto-Rooter is the largest plumbing and drain service company in North America, that's a lot of pipes to keep clear. If you forget that you should never put potato peels in a disposal, at least that's what my mother said, and your drain gets clogged, call 1-800-Get-Roto.
Oh, and if you go to the website you can listen to the jingle just for fun.
